Mom and Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary Dinner

My parents had their 40th wedding anniversary on June 14th but we didn't celebrate until the 23rd. I originally wanted to have a big party and invite all their friends and family but they didn't want all that. I wanted to do something special since 40 years is amazing and deserves to be celebrated. We decided to have a catered dinner and cake at our house with a few family members and friends that are really family. We had bbq, ribs, mac and cheese, cole slaw, salad, beans, chips, appetizers and a delicious two tiered cake that had chocolate cake on top and white on the bottom. Everything turned out nice and we really enjoyed the day. I had a video made of pictures of the two of them and everyone seemed to enjoy watching it.

It was a great day and I am so proud that my parents have been married that long and are still going strong! Congrats mom and dad! We love you!
