Ger Ger's Birthday

On Sunday, February 8th, we celebrated Ger Ger's birthday! Her actual birthday is February 9th. We went to church with her at Brentwood Baptist and it was a great service! The choir was there during the time we attended and the singing was beautiful. One of the most exciting things was Lucas going to a class during service. We have tried putting him in there before and he cries and doesn't want to stay. I hadn't planned on even trying to put him in one of the classes but about 5 minutes away from the church I started asking him if he wanted to play with other kids or sit with us. He said, "play with other kids!!!!" I thought, ok, he says that now but let's just see. So, we parked close to the side where you drop the kids off and took him in. We ran into Rob in the parking lot so he went with us. I told the lady he normally doesn't like to stay and she gave me a pager just in case he got upset. We took him to his class and he went right in and started playing! The teacher said they were going to go outside because it was so pretty and warm that day. We told him we would be back in a little while and he basically said "SEE YA!" He did great the teacher said and had a really good time! It was a "he's growing up" kind of a moment for me but in a good way!

Next, Gerry, treated all of us to Mexican downtown! It was yummy!! She opened gifts and I had gotten my friend Diane to hook us up with some Gigi's Cupcakes so we did a sampler tasting of several of them after lunch! It was a great day!
