On Sunday, February 1st, Nana & Papa came over to visit to see the baby's room and give Lucas his birthday present early. They had gotten it for him for Christmas but decided to save for his birthday and just couldn't wait any longer! He doesn't turn 3until the 19th. He LOVED their gift and couldn't have made them any happier from his reaction! He gave hugs and got so excited! Uncle Michael was over so he helped David put it together. We have been playing with it ever since! A funny story about Lucas and the basketball part is that he wanted me to raise the goal higher. I said, "well, you aren't really getting too many in at this height." So, Lucas makes 3 baskets in a row and looks at me and says "raise it!" He loves to say "I own you at basketball or I own you at Hockey!"
Nana took a lot of pictures and you can kind of see that Brooklyn's room is a minty green with a brown and pink chair rail. I will take pictures of the furniture and everything and post later. The chair in the picture will be recovered soon we hope, to match the room. We also finally got some bedding for Lucas' big boy bed and you can see him lounging in it!
I am 29 weeks along so the pictures that Nana took are of my belly at this time!
It's hard to believe it but we are at the point where we go to the doctor every 2 weeks! I had to go on Monday, February 2nd, and my doctor was in Mexico so I met another doctor. She was very sweet and I laughed because she measured me and told me I was tiny! I said, no one has ever described me as that! Even though I am 29 weeks I am only measuring 26. She assured me it was ok as long as I was just 3 weeks different. I think it's just because I am tall. I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks so that's not too tiny! Total pregnancy weight gain at 29 weeks is 17 big ones!
