First Baby Gifts for "Embi"

Last Wednesday, Lucas and I were hanging out at the house and the doorbell rang. We got there in time to see the Fed Ex man driving off and a big ole box on the front porch! It was addressed to the Pring Party Palace and I didn't recognize the "from" name but noticed it was from Alpharetta, GA and must be from my friend Kristin!

Lucas and I were so excited that we dug into the box right there in the hallway! It was packed with green and yellow thin strips of paper and there were 3 very cutely (is that a word) wrapped gifts inside! They were labeled, Lucas-The Big Brother, Mommy, and TBD (To be determined). I let Lucas open his gift first only to find out Kristin had accidentally labeled the packages wrong! Lucas seemed confused by the Lansinoh Nipple Cream! He did seem excited about the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups though! There was also a beautiful photo album in that package! I took a guess and figured that was my box so I let him open the one that said Mommy and there were 3 really cool new bath toys inside for him. He was ready to take a bath right then! Finally, we opened the TBD, well I opened it while he made a mess with the packaging strips, and there was a bunch of duck, green and yellow themed items inside. There was a hooded towel, wash cloths, a rubber ducky, little booties, a soft duck that plays music and a newborn care set! It was such a great and thoughtful gift and it kind of made this pregnancy feel more real than it has felt. Kristin recruited a couple of her friends to help her pick out the gifts and they all did a great job!

p.s. David refers to the baby as Embi for Embryo! We called Lucas, Fetus! :-)
