Halloween Night

On Halloween night, all the neighbors on the street got together to eat dinner before trick-or-treating. We all brought something yummy and set up outside on the sidewalk and in Cindi and Kevin's driveway. A lot of the kids and adults dressed up for dinner but I didn't want Lucas to get anything on his costume so we waited until after dinner to dress up. David made his famous chili and at the end of the night when I went to clean the crockpot, it looked like someone had taken their finger and tried to get every last bit out of there! It was good stuff. I took lots of pictures of all the kids and then Lucas was excited to change into Elmo to go get candy! He was originally going to be a Predators Hockey Player but my neighbor Regina had a brand new Elmo costume from last year that she let us use instead! He looked so cute and warm in there!

Once we got him in his costume we headed back outside and he kept yelling, "happy halloween erbody (everybody)!" Or "I want CANDY!" David took him around while I handed out to all the kids. They had a big time and he said Trick or Treat and thank you at each stop. When they were done, his favorite part was sitting outside with us, handing out candy, and enjoying a tootsie roll pop!

This Halloween was so much more fun than last year when he didn't want to go door to door, he just wanted to see pumpkins and decorations!
