Our trip to Arizona!

On Thursday, July 3rd, we got up, before the sun even got up, and headed to the airport! We love living in Nolensville, but we sure miss the short drive to the airport from our Hermitage house!!

Anyway, this trip would be the second time Lucas had been on an airplane and he was so much more aware and excited this time! He got to sit next to the window on every flight and he loved it!!

We arrived in Phoenix where Jill, Lou, Logan and Brock met us with two cars! We didn't head to their house, this time we would be staying in a cabin in Flagstaff. Jill's mom rented a cabin for the month of July and was kind enough to let us impose on her time with family! Since she has known me since I was 4, I wasn't too worried she didn't want me there! David and I have both been to Tucson and Phoenix before but had never seen northern Arizona and were excited!! We stopped first at McDonalds to let the kids run and play because it was a pretty long drive.

When we arrived, I couldn't believe how beautiful the scenery was and how different it looked from Phoenix and Tucson. Everywhere you looked could have been a post card! The cabin was really nice and had a wonderful view from the decks! The boys enjoyed feeding and petting the horses across the street and being able to be outside in AZ in July!

Cathy had so many wonderful meals planned out for us and we just enjoyed being together, playing games, talking and watching the kids! Cathy's boyfriend Mike was there as well for a few days and Lucas loved saying everying was Mr. Mike's. Dis Mr. Mike's house, dis Mr. Mike's room, dees are Mr. Mike's white ballz! That last comment was hilarious! There were these balls in a basket on the kitchen table and one night while we were eating Lucas commented on how they were Mr. Mike's white balls! Too funny!

It was a great visit and we are so thankful to Miss Cathy for letting us stay there! We also really enjoyed getting to spend time with Jill's brother Jamison and his wife Jen and their daughter Kendall!
