A Flagstaff 4th of July

We arrived in AZ the day before the 4th of July. Jill told us there was a parade in Flagstaff that we could attend and the boys could even participate if they wanted to. We were all so tired the night before that we convinced ourselves we didn't want to get up early the next morning and rush around getting ready to make it on time. Well, the kids had a different idea! I think we all actually got up around 6:30 a.m. and we worked a shower/get ready system that got us all ready quickly! For me, that's impressive! We had a great breakfast, took our time because we still weren't planning on making it to the parade. We did decide we would like to see the town of Flagstaff anyway. So, we all piled in and headed that way! We couldn't believe it when we got there and the parade was STILL going on! It was hot, so we all lathered up with sunscreen and then enjoyed the parade! It was kind of country and silly but fun anyway!

Afterwards, we met Jill and Jamison's stepsisters and their friends for lunch! We were sitting outside and could see a huge storm coming towards us. Luckily, the manager found seating for us inside right as our food came out!

As we headed back the cabin, it looked like snow was on the ground! We realized it was hail! When we did get back and got out of the car, the temperature had dropped like 40 degrees! It was freezing, raining and windy! We had to put on jeans and sweatshirts! We enjoyed some Wii fun and the weather did clear up for us to cookout cheeseburgers! The only fireworks we saw were on TV because they were banned where we were staying! It was a fun day though and I think we all went to bed at 9 p.m.!!

Watching the parade!
David, Lucas, Lou, Logan, Brock, Jen, Jamison & Kendall
Indians!
Italians!
Storm Troopers!
Cutie Pie Brock!
Nothing like riding your Obama bike down the parade and then passing out in front of thousands (next to the loud train no less)! Scary!
Jamie & Christie (Jill's stepsisters)
Post airbed jumping!
Mr. Mike & Brock
He needed the hard hat to help with the move!
