Frog Pool Fun

Lucas hasn't shown much interest in getting into any of our neighbors pools. He will stand next to them and talk about the "bigggggggg water" but when you ask if he wants to get in he just says "no, no noooo" very casually! I really wanted him to have a pool but knowing his lack of interest, I didn't want to spend a lot in case he really didn't want to use it. I got a $15 one at target that looks like a frog and has a sprinkler feature. The first day he used it was Friday with his sitter Amy. David set it up and filled it with water that morning early and by the time they got out there it was warm enough to get in. Amy said Lucas did not want the swim diaper at first and did not want to take his shirt off. After just barely putting his feet in for a while, he finally took the plunge and loved it! Amy said he was going crazy jumping in and playing with all his toys. Yesterday, I went and visited with Nikki and John so Ger Ger kept Lucas. They waited until it was shaded outside and tried out the pool. Once again, he didn't want the swimmer diaper but she convinced him. She said he had a great time and she wished she had been wearing a suit because he's a splasher. Finally, today, it was mommy and Lucas time! We headed out at 10 a.m. for fun in the sun! He didn't want his shirt on and he ran right into the pool. I think he was surprised because I got in with him and stayed in there for most of the 2 hours and 15 minutes we were out there. We splashed and played with balls and filled buckets. He really enjoyed dumping water on my head!!! We took a little break to eat crackers and cheese on the porch and have a cold drink. Titan was begging so he looks like Cugo in the pictures!! I am so happy it's summer and can't wait for more fun days like today! Lucas was so tired he couldn't even finish his lunch! He's napping now, hence the updates!
