A Sad Goodbye!

On Wednesday, we had to say goodbye to Lucas' sitter Annie! She is moving out of state and Wednesday was her last day with us. It was very sad because she has been so great with Lucas and made going to work easy for me. I cried a lot leading up to the final day because I am a big worrier and I just hated the thought of Lucas having to get to know someone new, someone that would not be Annie. I thought I had gotten it all out, and we took her out to dinner and I was fine, until the walk to the car! What a baby I am! Luckily, the new sitter came over during the day that day to learn the ropes from Annie and I was able to get Annie's feelings on her and they were good. We will miss her but wish her lots of luck!

On a funny note, the new sitter started Thursday and on her first day, the dog got out when the people coming to fix our leak showed up. She couldn't leave Lucas so she convinced one of them to chase him down. He finally caught up with him and had to lure him home with a treat. When he got home, he took a big poo in the living room that she had to pick up. Then, she noticed our table and umbrella on the deck had blown over on it's side! Nice first day huh! The good news, Lucas seemed to adjust well and she said she had a great day with him! What a relief!
