On Thursday, March 12th, David's youngest brother Michael, graduated from the Metro Police Academy! He will be working for the Vanderbilt Police Department. It was a long, hard road and we are so proud of him for sticking with it and doing so well. He graduated 3rd in his class (I believe there were 29 graduates out of 41 that started) and was recognized for this accomplishment on Friday and Vanderbilt's ceremony and luncheon. He was asked to give an impromptu speech at the luncheon and he was also chosen to give the closing prayer at the Thursday night graduation (see video).
Bob (David, Michael and Rob's dad) came in from Arizona to be here for the special occasion and I took lots of great pictures of everyone. Gerry, Rob, Nancy, Kurt and their kids were there along with Michael's girlfriend Terah, his friends Patrick & Penny and his friend Christy. It was a very exciting night and we celebrated at Olive Garden afterwards.
Congratulations Michael! We are proud of you for going after what you wanted and sticking with it and doing so well. Stay safe! We love you!
I hope the sound works on the videos because it's not working on my computer!

Congratulations to Michael! That's quite an accomplishment. Hey, ask him if he knows Amy Fulbright- she's a police officer who is one of the instructors at the Academy. I'm interested to see what he thought of her. She's a sweetheart, but not at work, from what I understand! And you may have had it for awhile, but I love the picture at the top of your blog!
It's nice to know someone on the "inside." :) You never know when you'll run into trouble...
