Sitting with Santa

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we took Lucas to see Santa at Cool Springs Mall. We had to stand in line for a while and I decided that I probably needed to set up a bribe situation so we wouldn't get up there and Lucas not want to sit with Santa. I had brought a lolly pop and told Lucas that if he sat in Santa's lap and didn't cry he could have it when he was done. He seemed fine with that. When it was our turn, Santa was very friendly and chatty with Lucas. Lucas still seemed a little leery so he was very quiet with his answers. When it was time for the picture we could not get Lucas to smile and the lady was not taking the picture. She said, it's like he's in a zone! I said, um, he's not crying and he's in his lap, just take the picture! She had to take several because Santa kept closing his eyes! Turns out he and Lucas both looked scared in the picture we bought! I think Santa's photo smile looks like Chandler Bing's photo smile from friends!
