22 1/2 Weeks Belly Shot and Update

I had David take an updated shot of the growing belly this week. I think I was skipping every other week and accidentally forgot to take one last week! Oh well!

We went back on Tuesday of this week for a follow up ultrasound. Because of the baby's position last time they couldn't see everything they needed to so we had to have another one. I was kind of excited to see the baby again and to have confirmation that she was a girl! The tech we had the first time seemed 100% sure but since I know people that have been told girl and had boy, I am just skeptical! Anyway, "Embie" was in the same position as last time. I have all this room for her to move around in there and she (please be a she) is still curled up in a ball! I feel her move all the time and she actually was kicking, punching and head butting me during this ultrasound but not moving from that position! The tech (a different one from last time) did finally get her to move enough to see all of the spine. We did see her legs spread and her bottom again but she had her feet tucked right in the spot you would normally see or not see something! The tech said if she had to guess, she would guess girl but couldn't say 100%! She still couldn't see one part of the heart so now we have to go to the Maternal Fetal place on January 2nd and have a high tech scan done by someone that supposedly knows what they are doing! Please say a little prayer that she cooperates and moves out of the ball and into a position where they can see everything and that everything is healthy!

My doctor had to do a C-section so I didn't get to go in a room and meet with her but on her way out she stopped by to see me while I was getting my blood pressure taken. Besides the u/s problems, everything seems good. I have gained a total of 7 pounds and my blood pressure and thyroid are good. As I mentioned above, baby is moving and grooving all the time and makes getting to sleep at night a challenge!

Well, this proves it. Embie HAS to be a girl. Only a girl would be so difficult! ;)
