Lucas cracks us up all the time and I need to start writing down all the things he says. Of course, the way he says them is the funniest and it doesn't quite translate into a blog unless captured on video. I will try to write a few things down here that he has said lately.
For an update, he has been busy doing school work with Mrs. Brenda, his sitter on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He loves it and usually wants to do it first thing in the morning. They are up to letter I now and they also do a bible lesson each day she is here too. They have been working on the days of Creation. Lucas loves to show me the projects he has done when I get home from work. His favorite thing to do is put "googoo eyes" as he says it, on everything! The little eyes that move around when you move them! When we are riding in the car he likes to point out letters he sees on the billboards. The funniest is when we are heading to a hockey game and he sees the TA Gas station and says "look mommy, T and A!" I guess if you don't have a bit of a dirty mind like David and I do, you might not think that's funny but we crack up! Yep Lucas, that is T and A! He can tell you he lives in Tennessee and his birthday is in February. If I write out the letters individually on a pad, he can tell me what they are. He says everything and some things I don't want him to say!
Here are some funny things he started saying:
I gave him something to eat the other night and he said "What da heck is this?"
As I have mentioned before, he is obsessed with hockey. Now, he likes to tell us "Cheer for me mommy, cheer for me daddy" or "mommy, sing the I like it song" he of course scores and goes around singing "I like it I love it, etc. etc."! We were playing outside and he took a break so David and I were hitting the puck back and forth and David was trying to get it past me. Lucas started cheering me on "go mommy, you can do it, go! Then as he was cheering, David got one past me so Lucas says "booooooooo!"
Monday night we parked the car and were walking to the hockey game and a car got really close to me. Lucas says "watch out mommy, don't get hit by a car, dat would hurt!"
While watching Sprout, this show Franny Feet came on. We had been watching it for a few minutes and I have to admit, Franny is annoying. All of the sudden, Lucas says "I want to tackle Franny!"
I had to return something to Old Navy on Saturday, David and Lucas waited in the car. The lines were huge and everyone in there looked like a teenager wearing hoochie mama clothes and greasy, nasty hair. When I got in the car I said to David, "man, there was nothing but skanky little girls in there!" OOPS! Before we got out of the parking lot Lucas repeats, kind of "Man, nothing but stinky girls in there!" Stinky is better than Skanky I guess! Gotta watch it!
I know there are so many more but I am pregnant and my brain doesn't function right! I will add more later. Here are just a few pictures of some of my favorite projects he's done. He glitters, glues, cuts, draws, finger paints, etc. Of course you can tell the parts that Mrs. Brenda does but, she tells me most of the time she is just steadying his hand for the hard stuff while he does the work.

Don't you just love their little creations/art projects! Priceless!
Holly,
Love the art work, one suggestion. put the month and year on his creations. It is fun to put them in the order he does them and see how is progresses.
Miss ya,
You are lucky to have her keep Lucas. He is going to be ready for Kindergarten!!!! I like it!
