Meeting Pap & Cathey

On July 8th, the day before we were to head home, David's dad Bob and his wife Cathey travelled from Tucson to Jill and Lou's house to meet Lucas for the first time and visit with us. Since there are no restaurants close by, Jill was so gracious to let us use her home. She made a wonderful dinner and dessert and we all had a great visit. They stayed for about 4 hours and got to see Lucas play with his buddies, talk, sing a little, cry and even throw up at the dinner table! I think the Arizona heat got to him. Jill said watching him before he threw up was like watching me eat a green bean! I didn't see it happen but I did get the joy of cleaning it up!

Lucas hadn't had a nap all day but I think he behaved pretty good! He liked saying "what's up pap?" (mostly after they left). When we got back to our house on the 9th, Michael was still there with Titan and he asked Lucas if he met Pap and I was impressed because Lucas said "that's daddy's dad!" Michael tried to then explain that it was also his dad but Lucas kept saying, "no, my dad," I think just to mess with Michael. The kid has got a great sense of humor!

These pictures were taken right after the puking so you can tell there were no long term effects! Props to Jill for making Lucas laugh during pictures!
