The Beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona

After we saw the scenic overlook, we continued on our way to Sedona. The ride was beautiful and we saw so many neat houses and camp sites. There were tons of people camping and swimming along the way. Arriving in Sedona was just breathtaking! Those red rocks are so massive and beautiful! We soon found out the rain had followed us once again!!!

Because our jeep tour wasn't until 1:45, we decided to grab some lunch. I am so mad that I can't remember the restaurant because it was delicious!!! We arrived right at noon and they had just opened so we were the first to be seated! The prices were a little high for lunch but everything sounded so good! About 5 minutes after being seated (with a wonderful view of the rocks) it started pouring down raining! Jill and I ordered a salmon plate that had mango salsa with it! I could have eaten 3 of those meals! David and Lou ordered the special, a steak sandwich. Lou actually did order 2 of those (1 for dessert)! I hope that tells you how good the food was! The kids got campfire trays that had fruit, veggies, a huge hotdog, french fries and a big chocolate chip cookie! Well, once again, like at the Canyon, after lunch it was still pouring so we just had to stay longer for dessert!

Once we were done with dessert, it had stopped raining and it was time for our jeep tour! We all fit in one jeep with 2 carseats and a booster for Logan. Our tour was called Cowboys and Canyons and was a lot of fun. Our guide (I can't remember his name), pointed our interesting rocks that were shaped like something else, gave us a lot of history (if I can't remember his name, do you think I remember much else), and pointed out different plants, trees, etc. It was very interesting and fun to watch and listen to the boys' reactions. Brock slept almost the entire first part of the tour and Lucas slept on the way back!! It was a another great way to see something so beautiful! The only downfall was wearing a white shirt! It was red when we were done and I think we all blew out red dust when we blew our noses later that night!

Can you see Snoopy??

Isn't Sedona so cute!
