A Fun Filled Weekend

On Saturday, my mom and I went to another shower for Nikki at her mom's house. It was so nice and the food was great! It was a lot of fun to see some of her family I hadn't seen in so long and meet others that I never had (that's amazing since we have been friends since the 2nd grade)! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera. Maybe someone will send me some pictures so I can add them on here (hint, hint)!

I then changed at the shower into my Vandy clothes and headed downtown to meet David and Lucas who were with Jamie, Caymin and Carson and Jamie's parents Jean and Jack! To my surprise, Troy, Julie and Ellie were also there! This was Lucas' first college football game and we thought he would really enjoy it since he has been wearing out the word football for about 2 weeks! He did enjoy being there but what he enjoyed the most were all the sweet kisses he received from Ellie and Caymin! He ate a hot dog and he and Carson enjoyed playing with the aluminum wrapping from the hot dog. I wadded it up and they thought it was a fun ball to toss around! Lucas also really enjoyed coloring with crayons that Jamie brought. We stayed through halftime and then he started rubbing his eyes so we all decided half a game was pretty good! Vandy won by the way! WOOHOO!!! Of course, since I didn't have my camera at the shower and I went straight to the game, no camera there either! Maybe someone will send me some pictures so I can add them on here (hint, hint)!

On Sunday, Lucas and I met Jamie, Chris, Caymin and Carson downtown at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum for a "Day Out with Thomas the Train!" Lucas had never ridden a train before so I was excited to see his reaction. I thought I had never ridden a train either but David reminded me that not once, not twice, but three different times we rode the train from Long Island to New York City! Duh! I guess I had never ridden one that wasn't stinky and jam packed with New Yorkers! No offense! Anyway, the tickets were $19 each and although the train ride was fun, it was not worth $19! They had a few bouncy houses, a couple of goats, some magic shows and a Lego train but the bottom line was, it was too dang hot out there to enjoy anything! Lucas and Carson got tattoos of Thomas on their arms and Lucas didn't care for the application but he loves having it on there now! I have scrubbed but it ain't budging! I will say, where is Thomas and he will hold his arm up or point to the tattoo and then he gives it a big kiss! Here are some cute pictures of the kids, some I took from Jamie, thanks Jamie! You can tell the Lucas loves aunt Jamie! He gives her lots of love and the flirty eyes all the time!
