Leah Bird's Baby Shower

Yesterday I hosted a little baby shower for my good friend Leah! She is due in September and is looking great! We just had a small little group of old friends, and older moms (he he, just kidding), but it was fun. Leah's dad flew Leah and her mom from Maryville, saving them a 4 hour drive. Luckily, there is an airport right down the road from us so David picked them up for me. Unfortunately, I turned on my camera and the battery symbol was flashing so I didn't get many pictures. Hopefully Amber will share some with me, hint hint!

My mom, Leah's mom Larue, Leah, Diane, Amber, Leah's dad Allen, David, Lucas and myself all enjoyed some tasty snacks and chatted for a few hours. Leah was overwhelmed by the number of gifts! Just kidding! Inside joke! It was so nice to see everyone and see Leah's pregnant belly in person! It was also fun to show everyone our new home! Lucas had a really good time playing with the gift bags and giving Amber lots and lots of sugar! After everyone left I brought the balloons inside and he had fun for about 2 more hours playing with them!

Oh, check out one of the ugliest and tiniest cakes ever! It wasn't exactly what I had in mind or thought I ordered but I didn't have time for them to bake another! It's in the picture next to the very yummy strawberry cookies that Amber baked, thanks Bobby!
