Sorry I haven't updated in a while but we are about to close on the old house and move to the new one and it has been hectic. Trying to pack and get things done with a 1 year old is quite difficult. He wants to play and I want to play with him and that scenario leads to nothing being packed! Luckily my mom has helped out by watching him several times why I have had to go to the new house and meet delivery trucks, electricians, etc.! Thanks mom! Ger Ger came to the rescue last night and watched Lucas while I got a few boxes packed! Thanks Ger!
Anyway, Lucas is still so much fun! He LOVES to be outside and when I tell Titan he needs to go outside to go potty, Lucas gets so excited thinking he gets to go too and runs to the door. He seems to have mastered the steps although he sometimes still thinks he can walk down them like a big person can. He has this toy called a Bounce N Spin Zebra and it is hilarious to watch him on it! I keep trying to capture it on video but no luck so far. He likes to dance when he hears music and he spends most of his days reading books and having whoever is in the room read him a book. Whenever sports are on TV he is up and cheering. He plays with a small basketball, a big one and a volleyball and loves to dunk! He is a big thrower of toys which is probably going to be a problem but he has great follow through!! He is talking up a storm, most things we can't understand but we know he says mama, mom, dada, daddy, nana, ball, Bob, up, duck, dog, shoe. (you might not know he is saying some of those but we do) ;-) He knows what a car, train and airplane sound like and he makes the noises while he plays with them or sees them in a book. He can point to his or your nose, ears, mouth, eyes, teeth and feet when you ask him where they are. He just seems to do something new each day and since I packed up the baby book, I figured I better type some of this stuff somewhere so I can remember it later! On a non-sugary and sweet note, he is a bit of a pincher and slapper! ;-) We are working on this, trust me!
Here are some pictures my mom took a few weeks ago at our new house.
