Lucas' First Birthday Party

Lucas turned 1 on Monday, February 19th. Because it was a Monday, we decided to celebrate his birthday the next Sunday. We had his party at my mom and dad's subdivision clubhouse and the theme was Baby Einstein. He loves the animals of the Baby Einstein collection, especially the dog, the duck and that BLAH dragon or whatever it is! ;-) There were about 18 kids there and a lot of adults. The clubhouse, even though the floors were hard, turned out to be a great place to have his party because it didn't mess up my house and it was spacious enough to have a lot of people. Thanks mom and dad! The cake was delicious and Lucas seemed to enjoy playing with it more than eating it. He had such a great time just having the freedom to walk around. Some of the kids would follow him everywhere and try to help him up when he fell and he loved it! We gave out goody bags to all the kids and they seemed to really enjoy their prizes! Lucas received so many great gifts and sweet cards and he has loved getting to play with them all! We really appreciate everyone that made the drive to Kingston Springs to celebrate with us. It has been a wonderful first year and we look forward to each that follow!
