How I wish that statement meant that our house was paid off but no, it just means, we have gotten rid of the "builder's white" paint and added our own! As a Christmas gift to ourselves we had the whole house painted, ceilings too. We had already painted our bedroom and bath, Lucas' room, and a downstairs bath, and the new baby's room is so cluttered we didn't have them paint that either. So, in summary, the whole house besides those rooms! ha ha!
Because the downstairs is so open, we were struggling to decide on colors. We thought probably just a neutral for most and I really wanted our columns to be a chocolate color. We decided to have a designer help us choose colors and we are so glad we did. She agreed about the neutral color and picked a good one out and liked the chocolate idea and then tied the rest all together! We recently had my brother and his friend Brad close in our office so it was nice to finally get it painted, caulked, the french doors on and looking good. The stuff is still a mess inside the office but the walls and everything look good! I am so excited to have this done and our painter and his crew got it all painted, ceilings too, in 4 days! It would have taken us 4 months probably!
Now we just need to add some more things to the walls and it will really be home! I am posting some pics of the new paint from some of the rooms!
Thanks David, I love it! Dining Room

that is one good looking house! Love the colors and the choc brown columns are too cool! Great idea! Congrats on the girl...you'll love all the pink, bows, etc, etc!!
It looks awesome! Your house was so clean and straight the other night. Made me quite depressed to go back home to my mess of a house... I'm on a mission to get it clean today for Christmas.
