Well, Lucas has finally given up his paci. The poor baby had to do it cold turkey too. Titan has eaten about 5 or so of them in the past and I have always bought more. Even though he looks 5 he is still just 2+ so when he wanted it, I let him have it. I told him that the one he had was the very last one and he better keep it safe because there would be no more.
On Wednesday, December 3, he and I went downstairs for a few minutes and when we got back to the bonus room Lucas says "oh no, Titan ate my paci!" I had to explain to him as I threw it away that it was the LAST one. He told me "we can get more at the gro-cer-y store!" He cried for a second as I explained that I would not be buying him anymore but it wasn't a total breakdown. He has been great ever since then! He occasionally asks for one but once I remind him that there are no more, he's good to go. I think he is just hoping one time that he questions me I will give in! I am so proud of him because like I said, he had to quit cold turkey. I am pregnant and somewhat emotional, so if he had really been upset, it would have broken my heart! It was something positive for me to tell the Elf in front of Lucas so the Elf could relay to Santa!!!
A couple of funny stories about Lucas! We took him to see Santa at Cool Springs mall. He kept telling us, "I not sitting on Santa's lap!" Finally, the night we took him, he decided he would go and talk to him if he could take his replica Stanley Cup and show Santa. Last year, he wouldn't even sit in Santa's lap. Santa had to sneak up behind him while Lucas sat in the chair! So, this year, even though Santa and Lucas both looked scared, he did sit in his lap! I will post that picture later! Anyway, at the mall this guy walked by with like a 7 inch Mohawk. I wasn't sure if Lucas saw it or not but I mentioned it. Well, last night, he starts styling my hair and says, "mommy, I'm giving you a molecrack!" I started laughing and said "a Mohawk?" He said "yep, a molecrack!" Then he just kept saying it because it made me giggle!
We had watched Nemo yesterday and there is a part where Dorie (Spell?) and Marlin have to dive down deep into the dark waters to retrieve the mask with the address on it. While they are swimming down there, the screen goes black and they are talking but then Dorie (who has short term memory loss) asks Marlin when he's talking to her if he is her conscience! About an hour or two after watching the movie, Lucas and I are in my bed watching a cartoon before bedtime. I turn off the TV and tell him it's time to go to bed and the room gets pitch black. All the sudden he says "mommy, are you my conscience??" He said it clear and perfect! I started laughing and asked him if he was being Dorie, he of course said yes and giggled! He cracks me up!
I am posting some cute paci pics of the past! I think when he was a baby he didn't want his paci as much as he did when he got bigger or maybe I just didn't take too many pictures with the paci in his mouth! My baby, he's growing up! **tear**

That paci sure was sturdy to have survived in such great condition for all that time!
