Dr. Appointment and Gift #2 for Embi

On Monday, Lucas and I went to my latest doctor's appointment. I am now 16 weeks and it's hard to believe that 4 months has passed so quickly. I had my first weight gain and it was 1 lb! I think the puking has helped me out in this department but, since the sickness seems to have passed I am sure the weight will start to pack on! We heard the heartbeat at 159 bmp. It took her a second to find it so I got a little nervous. She is a tiny little thing and told me if we were looking for the heartbeat for her it could only be in one spot but since I am 6 foot something there are like 70,000 spots the heartbeat could be so not to panic and not to put that pressure on her! She cracks me up! She found it and it was good. I then asked if she could let Lucas hear his heartbeat and he really liked that. Baby's heartbeat sounds like Miss Pac Man, wocka wocka, Lucas' heartbeat was like bu bump bu bump bu bump really loud and fast. He held his shirt up and said, did you hear dat baby in my belly? I think he thought we were listening to the baby in his belly's heartbeat! I go back in a few weeks to have the big ultrasound and hopefully find out if it will be baby brother or baby sister!

David worked in Cookeville today and brought home a sweet basket of goodies for baby Embi from Jenny Holmes. She went to school with us and works with David at PrePak. It was very sweet of her to do some shopping for us and get the new baby some much needed items! Thanks girl!!! It just keeps getting more exciting!
