On Monday, the 6th, David, Lucas and I headed to Baptist for my second doctor's appointment. Lucas was very good and Dr. Schlechter rewarded him with a sucker! I hadn't gained a pound since my first appointment (woohoo) and everything seems to be going good. I do feel much thicker in the waist area and my belly is pooching. I need a size larger in pants to really be comfortable but don't really want to purchase a size larger. Why can't you just go from regular clothes to maternity in a smooth transition!! Oh well!
We got to hear the heartbeat and thankfully, she found it on the first try! The baby must have been excited because it was going anywhere from 171 to 174. I think the fastest Lucas' ever beat was 166 at my appointments. I could be wrong. I would have to check my half done baby book for that stat!! ;-) Lucas thought hearing the heartbeat was very exciting and it is fun to hear him do an impression of it, whocka whocka whocka!! When we were checking out he asked the girl at the front (who was not even near our room) "did you hear dat baby's heartbeat?" He's funny!
We go back on Election Day, November 4th and then find out the sex (if baby cooperates) on the 24th! I am 12 weeks along this week! Stay tuned!

Are you kidding me, 12 weeks already?!? Goodness, time flies. So glad you had a good visit. Nov. 4th is Addison's due date. :) You look great and glad you are feeling better. Can't wait to find out what you are having. I'm pulling for PINK!
