2nd Annual Pring Pumpkin Spooktacular 2008

On Sunday, October 12th, we had the family over for our second annual Pumpkin Patch, carving, pig out day! We started out with some snacks and chit chat then headed down the street to Walden Farms. It was very crowded, but at least for the first part of our time there, it was overcast and not so hot. This year, my mom, dad, uncle Bob, Gerry, Kevin, Debi, Kayla, Chase, Rob, Kendra, Hayden and the 3 of us Prings went. We were missing Michael and Matt and from last year, Brooke & Kendra's sister. We still had a huge bunch and had a great time seeing all the animals, going through the corn maze and watching the kids play. Last year the drought was so bad that there was no corn maze or many other activities. We did the hay ride again this year and then picked out our pumpkins to carve and headed home.

David made his famous chili and grilled brats. I made some yummy cupcakes and we all pigged out! After we ate, it was time to get busy carving! David ended up winning for best design but I didn't want to give him the prize so Kendra got second place. I think my brother would have won but he cut off his skull and bones' nose and didn't do the teeth. It was still cool, just not complete!

Lucas didn't take a nap all day so he passed out about 7:30 that night on the couch! It was nice to have the time to clean up and relax myself! We had a great day and love spending time with our family for any reason!
