First Airplane Ride

Lucas loves airplanes, mostly because we have forced them down his throat with the decor of his nursery being airplanes, but still, he really loves them! So, we were excited to see his reaction to the airport and the planes and actually flying in one! He was so great! What a wonderful traveller! Of course it was just a 2 hour flight to Orlando but still! He had a really great time riding on his daddy's shoulders through the airport checking out the planes! Then, when we got on board he sat in my lap for the flight and he really enjoyed putting the window up and down up and down and between each turn, he would look at me with the joy face (open mouth, smiling eyes)! He was awake for takeoff then he fell asleep until the descent and landing! Then, we got to ride a fast tram to the baggage claim and a shuttle that didn't require he be strapped in either! He was loving this type of travelling until we actually got the rental car with the car seat! He did just as great coming home on the plane. We had to get up at 4 to make it to the airport and somehow he must have anticipated this because he got up at 3!! He was ready to go! His Ger Ger was able to get the pilot and flight attendants to give Lucas his first set of wings and great little certificate with his names and their signatures! One for the scrapbook baby!
